Direct Support Professional- Weekend Coverage Needed

About The Position

Almost Family – Roseburg provides compassionate, individualized care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), supporting their independence, dignity, and quality of life at home and in the community. The Direct Support Professional provides attendant and relief care and helps clients participate in community activities. The role supports clients’ daily living needs, independence, and meaningful relationships while following individual care plans and maintaining accurate documentation. Weekend availability on Saturday and Sunday is required, and schedule flexibility is mandatory. The role is based in Roseburg, Oregon, and offers a pay range of $20–$24 per hour depending on experience, paid biweekly.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have at least one year of experience supporting someone with I/DD, professionally or personally.
Be able to work Saturdays and Sundays; schedule flexibility is mandatory.
Be compassionate, patient, and reliable.
Be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Be a team player and able to work independently.
Have a valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle when required for the client.
Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Provide attendant care and relief care.
Support clients’ physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs related to activities of daily living.
Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and community outings, when required for the client.
Assist with household tasks and home management.
Encourage and model life skills and independence.
Promote clients’ positive self-esteem and build meaningful relationships.
Help clients engage in community activities such as social events, shopping, and volunteer work.
Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
Support the organization’s mission of helping individuals live life to their fullest potential.
