About The Position
InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for a young male Individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Union County area of Waxhaw, NC. Staff will provide Community Living and Support Services with approx 24 hours every other weekend. This is a Saturday and Sunday position for every other weekend. Staff will perform all services in the home. Must be able to handle challenging behaviors.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
