About The Position

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Part-Time Employee for a young male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Union County area of Waxhaw, NC. The role involves providing Community Living and Support Services for approximately 16 hours a week. This position includes paid training hours and paid state-mandated training.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or GED)
• Valid driver's license
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration.
• Help individual develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
