DSP Independent Contractor Monroe (MA)
About The Position
InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support. This is an Independent Contractor position for an adult male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Union County area of Monroe, NC. The DSP will provide Respite Services and Community Living and Support Services for approximately 9 hours a week. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 6 am to 8 am, and Saturdays as needed from 10 am to 3 pm. The pay rate is $16.07/hr for Respite Services and $20.35/hr for CLS Services. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.

- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
