About The Position
InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for an adult male Individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Union County area of Monroe, NC. Staff will provide Respite Services and Community Living and Support Svc for approx 9 hours a week. The role involves providing companionship, care, and support to an individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
