About The Position

Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with the people we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). We are hiring for residential DSP positions in the West Point area! $500 HIRING BONUS! As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be able to pass all background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience not required.
• CNA license

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation, based on the individual’s level of need.
• Support the individual in developing and maintaining skills, which could include money management, household chores, self-advocacy, and communication. Based on individual's needs, goals, and support plan.
• Implement goals and objectives from the individual’s person-centered support plan and document progress as required.
• Monitor and promote the individual’s health and well-being while following safety protocols. Ensure individuals are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
• Encourage social interaction and community inclusion through meaningful activities and relationship building.
• Transport individuals in a motor vehicle.

Benefits

• $500 hiring bonus! First half paid out after first 30 days and second half paid out after 60 days of employment.
• Pay range is $16 to $18 per hour.
• We pay more for experience and if you have a CNA license.
