About The Position
Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Adult Residential Services. This is a part-time, hourly position with a pay rate of $21.00 – $23.10/hour. Brightway Living & Learning is a premier non-profit provider of human services on Long Island, offering educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs. With a 65-year legacy as the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), Brightway supports over 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through a full continuum of care. They utilize persistence, adaptability, and behavioral science to help individuals grow, learn, and meet milestones.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with a clean driving history.
- Successful completion of Brightway Living & Learning's Transportation Orientation.

- Passionate about making a difference.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
- Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
- Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities.
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.
