About The Position
Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP I & II) to support adults with developmental disabilities in an Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH). The role assists with daily living activities, fosters independence, and promotes positive behavior through meaningful, individualized engagement. The position is part-time and located at one site in La Puente, California; remote work is not available. The hourly rate is $21.00–$23.50, depending on experience and verified certificates. Saturday PM and NOC shifts are available. Redwood Family Care Network provides person-centered home- and community-based services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- CPI certification.
- DSP I and II certifications.
- Obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within six months of hire; training and fast-track support are provided.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support daily routines in accordance with Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Encourage positive behavior through structured activities, including walking, reading, games, and learning projects.
- Provide transportation using company vehicles as needed.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
