About The Position
Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP I & II) to support adults with developmental disabilities in an Enhanced Behavioral Support Home (EBSH). The role assists with daily living activities, fosters independence, and promotes positive behavior through meaningful, individualized engagement. Employees are expected to provide person-centered support in a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR/First Aid, CPI, and DSP I & II certifications.
- Obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within six months of hire; training and fast-track support are provided.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Support daily routines in accordance with Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Encourage positive behavior through structured activities such as walking, reading, games, and learning projects.
- Provide transportation using company vehicles as needed.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
