About The Position

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professional on Wednesdays and possible weekends. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall quality of life. Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or related roles is preferred
Knowledge of resident rights and regulations governing care facilities is a plus
Familiarity with medication administration procedures is desired
Ability to take accurate vital signs is beneficial
Experience in hospice care or home care settings is advantageous
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds
Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support to individuals in accordance with their personalized care plans
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Prepare and serve meals based on individual dietary needs and preferences
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions
Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the rights and dignity of each individual
Assist with transportation to medical appointments, social outings, or other necessary errands
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care for each individual
Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in need
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any observations or incidents
