About The Position

SPIN is seeking a motivated Direct Support Professional BHA to support individuals with behavioral health needs in a compassionate and professional manner. The role focuses on helping individuals achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life while working with a team of professionals to provide a high level of care. The position works Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., for 40 hours per week. New employees must attend a 2.5-week, hourly paid training program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Benefits begin after completion of training.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
Availability to attend a 2.5-week hourly paid training program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
At least one year of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Work experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and positive behavioral support approaches.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
