About The Position

SPIN is seeking a motivated Direct Support Professional BHA to support individuals with behavioral health needs in a compassionate and professional manner. The role focuses on helping people achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life while working with a team of professionals to provide a high level of care. Benefits begin after completion of training. The position is 32 hours per week, with a schedule of Sunday and Monday from 4 p.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A 2.5-week hourly paid training program is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
• Availability to attend the 2.5-week hourly paid training program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• At least one year of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Work experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and positive behavioral support approaches.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral health needs.
• Assist individuals in achieving personal goals and improving their quality of life.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment.
• Ensure care is provided in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
