About The Position
SPIN is seeking a motivated Direct Support Professional/BHA to support individuals with behavioral health needs in a compassionate and professional manner. The role focuses on helping individuals achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life while working with a team of professionals to provide a high level of care. The position is scheduled Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight, for 32 hours weekly. New employees must attend a three-week, hourly paid training program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Benefits begin after completion of training. Employees who work 30 or more hours are eligible for the benefits described in the posting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
- Availability to attend the three-week, hourly paid training program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Work experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and positive behavioral support approaches.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral health needs.

- Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment.
- Ensure care is provided in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
