About The Position

Merakey is seeking a compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professional to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on helping individuals build independence, develop social and communication skills, and participate in daily living activities and community engagement. The position is part-time and pays $16.25 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. No experience is required, and paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life-skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support and transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support after training.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
• Help individuals build independence and develop social and communication skills.
• Serve as a mentor, coach, and advocate while supporting individuals in daily activities and personal goals.
