About The Position

EnCircle is looking for Full-time and part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Arlington, Virginia. This is an entry-level hourly role. You will get paid training so you can succeed and feel fulfilled. You can always count on a helpful, supportive team. A DSP works with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and aims to assist people in realizing their full potential. You will help people become integrated and engaged in their community by assisting with everyday activities and supporting them in improving their health, safety, and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to pass our paid training in CPR, First Aid and DSP orientation within 30 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Satisfactory Driving Record with no negative points balance.
• Must have responsible work ethic and good communication skills.
• Must be compassionate and caring.
• No reckless driving violations within the last 5 years (including speeding 20mph or more over the posted speed limit).
• No driving under the influence/impaired/intoxicated or refusing a blood/breath test violations within the last 5 years.
• No manslaughter or negligent homicide violations within the last 5 years.
• No driving after being declared a habitual offender violations within the last 5 years.
• No driving on a suspended or revoked license violations within the last 5 years.
• No driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of .04 or higher, refusing a blood/breath test, or violating an out-of-service order violations within the last 5 years.
• No injuring a person while racing - felony violations within the last 5 years.
• No failure to stop at the scene of a crash where there is injury, death, or property damage of $1000 or more violations within the last 5 years.
• No emergency vehicle violation - death violations within the last 5 years.
• No vehicular assault or willful stopping, impeding, or damaging a vehicle violations within the last 5 years.
• No blocking access to the service facility violations within the last 5 years.
• No attempting to elude police violations within the last 5 years.
• No operating an unsafe vehicle violations within the last 5 years.
• No Vulnerable Road User – Death violations within the last 5 years.
• No passing a stopped school bus violations within the last 3 years.
• No careless driving violations within the last 3 years.
• No three or more minor moving violations within the last three years.
