About The Position

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized support and care in a licensed community residential facility. The role supports adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities, helping them build daily living skills, participate in the community, and pursue independence, dignity, and quality of life. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is required. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week: Sunday 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and Monday through Thursday 3:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m. A $500 incentive is available to employees who are NADSP certified upon completion of the 90-day probationary period.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification and CPR/First Aid certifications.
Must provide and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and be insurable under company policy.

Responsibilities

Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
Complete required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
Foster community integration by encouraging the use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
