About The Position

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. (FCS) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized support and care in a licensed community residential facility. The role assists adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., for a total of 24 hours per week. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification and CPR/First Aid Certifications.
• Provide and maintain a valid U.S. Driver’s License and be insurable under company policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
• Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
• Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
• Complete required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
• Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
• Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
• Encourage community integration through the use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
