About The Position

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. (FCS), a nonprofit serving adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities since 1966, is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized support and care in a licensed community residential facility. The role supports clients with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., for a total of 24 hours per week. Benefits, a 403(b), and AFLAC are offered. A $500 incentive is available to employees who are NADSP Certified upon completion of the 90-day probationary period.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification and CPR/First Aid Certifications.
Provide and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and be insurable under company policy.

Responsibilities

Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
Complete required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
Foster community integration by encouraging use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
