Part-time Direct Support Professional (Tuesday to Saturday: 5pm to 10pm)
About The Position
P.I.L.O.T. Services is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional to provide residential support to adults with mild to moderate intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on helping individuals live active, meaningful lives by supporting daily needs, promoting independence, and creating engaging experiences. The position is based at Lenape GH in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. P.I.L.O.T. Services describes itself as a small, team-oriented organization supporting adults with disabilities. Its refreshed “We Care” approach emphasizes respect, teamwork, and fulfilling experiences for the people served and staff. Experience in human services is welcome but not required; training and support are provided.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- A verifiable high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
- Must have a valid New Jersey driver's license with fewer than 5 points; probationary licenses are not accepted.
- Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible, patient, and creative.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in human services is desired but not required; training and support are provided.
- A clean driving record is preferred or required if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support and supervision to adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
- Assist with personal care and promote independence in daily living skills.
- Transport individuals to community outings, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Plan and participate in activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, games, and outings.
- Support community involvement through volunteering, shopping trips, and social events.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Work collaboratively with team members to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
