Direct Support Professional - Day Services - Auburn
About The Position
Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for its Day Services program in Auburn, New York. The DSP supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, independent lives by offering encouragement and opportunities to explore interests, develop skills, and pursue personal goals. The role involves helping create a safe, positive, and empowering environment while supporting daily activities, community involvement, and personal growth. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed. The pay rate is $17.92–$18.67 per hour, based on experience. Mozaic provides paid training and career development opportunities and describes its workplace culture as supportive, compassionate, respectful, and person-centered. Mozaic is a not-for-profit organization based in the Finger Lakes Region that provides services and residential facilities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It advocates for and supports more than 2,000 people with disabilities in the area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid New York State driver's license.
- A caring attitude, dependability, willingness to learn, and desire to help others succeed.
- Experience with developmental disabilities is valued but not required.
