About The Position

The Trudeau Center is seeking compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home. The role supports individuals in living with dignity and independence by assisting with daily routines, personal care, social activities, health needs, and community involvement. The position also includes household tasks, documentation, and creating a safe, positive, encouraging atmosphere.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a team-player attitude.
• Comfort with physical activity, including lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, and walking.
• Willingness to learn Safety-Care and behavior support techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and meals as needed.
