About The Position

The Trudeau Center is seeking a compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home. The role helps individuals live with dignity, independence, and joy by supporting daily routines, personal care, health needs, social activities, and community involvement. The position also involves household tasks, accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe, positive, encouraging atmosphere.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a team-player attitude.
• Comfort with physical activity, including lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, and walking.
• Willingness to learn Safety-Care and behavior support techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and meals as needed.
