About The Position

Join a compassionate, mission-driven team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), helping people pursue personal goals, make choices, and live as independently as possible. The role supports people with daily activities, encourages community involvement, and helps maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment. Paid training is provided, and prior experience is not required. Full-time and part-time shifts are available in Grand Island, NY, and surrounding areas, including day, evening, and overnight shifts. Pay is $19.00 per hour, increasing to $20 per hour after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license that meets agency policy.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
• Reliability, patience, and compassion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for helping others and making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, social activities, and community events.
• Follow care plans that respect each person’s choices, strengths, and needs.

• Help people work toward personal goals and live as independently as possible.
