About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Philadelphia to support individuals in achieving their goals and building independence. The role involves working in a variety of settings, following each individual's Support Plan, and encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals. Activities may include visiting parks and sensory gardens, developing social and communication skills, assisting with daily hygiene and personal care, and teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or a school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
