This role involves providing 1:1 part-time support to a 61-year-old male in the Fayetteville area. The individual enjoys music, live performances, CDs, DVDs, singing, the gym, bowling, talking to people, drawing, and window shopping. He also likes to tell stories with different voices and enthusiasm. The Direct Support Professional will assist him with making healthy choices, exercising, identifying and participating in new activities, money management, and completing transactions. The ideal candidate should be reliable, consistent, communicative, engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel to different locations. They must also be willing to redirect behaviors and responses, and support regulation. The role requires the candidate to be active and willing to go on long walks and work out in the gym. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license
Effective communication and organizational skills required
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy
