About The Position
Indera is seeking a 1:1 Part-Time Support Staff member in Solvay, NY to assist a 26-year-old male with his daily living activities and community engagement. The individual enjoys walks, animated TV shows, toys, and visiting the zoo and The Wild to see animals. The ideal candidate will be patient, creative, and engaging, and willing to provide personal care and learn to use a Hoyer lift. This is a part-time role with potential for additional hours supporting other individuals served by the agency.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Effective communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site on time.
- Availability of technology to download multiple apps for community use.
- Willingness to abide by Indera's technology policy.

- Experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Support an individual with activities of daily living.
- Facilitate community engagement, including outings like walks and visits to the zoo.
