Direct Support Professional CA-SS
About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time, 1:1 support role in Marcellus, NY. The position involves assisting a 24-year-old male with daily activities, including exercise, community outings, and personal care. The individual enjoys movies, YouTube, reading, walking/running, looking at pictures, and baking. The ideal candidate will be active, patient, engaging, attentive, willing to travel, and able to provide personal care, redirect behaviors, and support regulation. The role requires the ability to run and is flexible with days and hours, offering 10 hours per week with potential for additional hours. The starting pay is $19.25/hour, with increases based on relevant experience.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time
- Technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy
- Must be very active and able to run
