About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time position in Baldwinsville, NY. This role involves supporting a 69-year-old male client in engaging with the community, discovering new activities, and managing his time effectively. The client enjoys social interaction, visiting markets, dining out, playing pool, fishing, gardening, traveling, and cars, as well as spending time at the local senior center. The ideal candidate will be patient, creative, engaging, and comfortable traveling to various locations. Responsibilities include providing personal care, supporting mobility, and lifting as needed. This is a part-time role with potential for additional hours through other agency services. The work schedule is 6 hours between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm on Mondays or Fridays.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- At least 18 years old
- Effective communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
- Technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community
- Willingness to abide by Indera's technology policy
