DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) - ADULT DAY SERVICES (Without Walls)
About The Position
Brightway Living & Learning is hiring a full-time, hourly Direct Support Professional for its Adult Day Services (Without Walls) program. The DSP supports people with disabilities in daily life, assists with daily living activities, fosters independence, promotes well-being, and helps individuals connect with their communities. The role involves building meaningful relationships and working collaboratively with DSPs, supervisors, and families. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $21.00–$23.10 per hour. A valid New York State driver’s license held for at least 18 months, a clean driving history, and successful completion of Brightway’s Transportation Orientation are required for the stated pay range. New hires who do not meet these criteria will be offered a lower starting rate of $19.00 per hour. Brightway Living & Learning is a Long Island nonprofit human services provider with a 65-year legacy as the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI). It supports more than 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs.
Requirements
