Direct Support Professional - Community Habilitation
About The Position
Mozaic is seeking a Day Hab Without Walls Direct Support Professional to help individuals become more actively engaged in their communities. Staff offer opportunities for people to build connections, develop independence, and enhance daily living skills. Community Habilitation provides skill-building activities such as cooking classes to promote meal-preparation skills, along with support attending medical appointments, managing finances, and improving cleaning and organizational abilities. The program also plans recreational outings that encourage social engagement and community participation, including trips to the zoo, museums, amusement parks, theater performances, movies, and other activities. The position is based at 8 Hulbert Street in Auburn, New York, and is community based. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with some planned evenings and weekends. Pay is $17.92–$18.67 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities, or an associate degree in human services or a related field.
- Valid driver's license.
