About The Position

McGuire Memorial is a ministry providing comprehensive services to children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. The Direct Support Professional helps individuals live life to the fullest by meeting their daily needs and supporting their participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities. The position is in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, and is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., four days per week, for 24 hours per week. Pay is $18.50 per hour. The position does not require prior experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screening.
• Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check.
• FBI Federal Criminal History Record, including fingerprinting.
• TB testing.
• Valid driver's license to work in Community Homes.

Responsibilities

• Meet individuals' daily physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Participate in daily social, recreational, and community-based activities.
• Assist with bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and positioning.
• Ensure individuals' health and safety.
