About The Position

McGuire Memorial is a ministry providing comprehensive services to children and adults who have physical and intellectual disabilities. The Direct Support Professional helps individuals live life to the fullest by meeting their daily needs and supporting their participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities. The schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., four days per week, for 24 hours per week, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. The position pays $18.50 per hour and does not require working holidays or weekends. No experience is necessary.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a physical and drug screening.
• Complete the Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Complete the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check.
• Complete the FBI Federal Criminal History Record check, including fingerprinting.
• Complete TB testing.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license to work in Community Homes.

Responsibilities

• Meet individuals' daily physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Participate in daily social, recreational, and community-based activities.
• Assist with bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and positioning.
• Ensure individuals' health and safety.
