About The Position

GoodLife Innovations is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide care and companionship to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role supports positive behaviors, teaches communication skills, and helps maintain the health and hygiene of the individuals served. Work takes place in family-style group homes and Day Service centers, assisting with client goals and personal care needs. The position is full-time, with 3-day workweek schedules available and day or night shifts. A $250 hiring bonus is offered. Pay is $17.50–$19.83 per hour; the compensation offered depends on factors including shift type and program location.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Pass a criminal background check.
Have a valid driver's license and safe driving record for day positions only.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds to physically assist individuals.
Be flexible in assigned work location based on client needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous caregiving or direct support experience, ideally in a residential or therapeutic setting.
Experience working with clients with aggressive or disruptive behaviors.
Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

Assist or provide full support with personal care needs, including bathing, toileting, and grooming.
Teach and support daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
Transport clients in a company van.
Administer medications.
Support clients at their Day Service programs.
Chart and document data using a computer system.
Support positive behaviors and teach communication skills.
Help maintain the health and hygiene of individuals served.
Assist clients with their goals and personal care needs.
