About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at their program in Marlton, NJ. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The DSP will foster pride in individuals by teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager, with results reviewed through observation, resident responsiveness, and periodic meetings. The role enhances independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver's license is required
- 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities
Nice To Haves
- Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred
- NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment
