Direct Support Professional PRN
About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at their program in Mullica Hill, NJ. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives, enjoying encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. The DSP will foster pride in individuals by teaching them daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager, with evaluations based on observation, resident responsiveness, and reports. The role involves enhancing independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Prefer candidates have their own transportation.
Responsibilities

- Fostering a sense of pride in individuals by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
- Assisting individuals with daily and personal activities to enhance their independence.
- Performing work in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager.
