Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of relevant work or life experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable personal transportation with current auto insurance.
  • Ability to travel within the community.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and drug screening.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support based on each individual's goals, preferences, abilities, and needs.
  • Help individuals develop and strengthen daily living and life skills.
  • Provide assistance with personal care and activities of daily living when needed.
  • Encourage individuals to make choices, express preferences, and build confidence.
  • Support personal goals and celebrate progress along the way.
  • Accompany individuals on community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and educational experiences.
  • Help individuals develop meaningful social connections and participate in their community.
  • Encourage independence and active participation in everyday activities.
  • Assist with planning and facilitating engaging recreational, educational, and life-skills activities.
  • Adapt activities based on each individual's interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Encourage individuals to explore new interests and develop new skills.
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, supervisors, and other members of the support team.
  • Follow individualized service plans and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using company-provided technology.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
