About The Position

Omega Day Centers is seeking compassionate, dependable, and patient individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Manassas, VA. As a DSP, you will help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections within their communities. This role involves supporting individuals in discovering their strengths, pursuing goals, participating in community activities, and experiencing personal growth.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least two years of relevant work or life experience.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable personal transportation with current auto insurance.
Ability to travel within the community.
Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and drug screening.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

Adapt activities based on each individual's interests, strengths, and abilities.
Encourage individuals to explore new interests and develop new skills.
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, supervisors, and other members of the support team.
Follow individualized service plans and company procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using company-provided technology.
Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
