Direct Support Professional HH-EI
About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a 44-year-old woman in the Ithaca, NY area. The role involves engaging the individual in community activities, assisting with social skills and independent living skills, encouraging her to try new things, and helping her navigate the community. This position offers Com Hab services at $32 per hour, with approximately 30 hours per week, and the schedule varies due to the client's work schedule. Indera is looking for reliable, patient, enthusiastic individuals who can work independently. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Reliable transportation is required, and a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities will be a plus.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
