Direct Support Professional HH-BH
About The Position
Indera, formerly known as ARISE, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an 18-year-old young lady in the Syracuse, NY area. The role involves engaging the individual in community activities, assisting with independent living skills, encouraging new hobbies, and promoting physical fitness. This is a Com Hab services position offering approximately 30 hours per week at $23 per hour. We are looking for reliable, patient, enthusiastic individuals who can work independently. Prior experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Reliable transportation is required, and a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
