About The Position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide provides hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in day programs and residential settings. Working closely with a team, the aide assists with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and enhance their independence. The position is located at 3030 Market St., San Diego, CA 92102, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The listed pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Patience, compassion, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to individuals’ needs.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, meals, and mobility support.
• Encourage participation in daily activities and community outings.
• Help individuals build relationships and develop independence.
• Document daily activities and progress using case management software.
• Provide person-centered support in a respectful and inclusive way.
