About The Position

Merakey is seeking mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable Direct Support Professionals to join its IDD Division in Horsham, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence, developing social and communication skills, and navigating daily living activities. Direct Support Professionals serve as mentors, coaches, and advocates while helping individuals pursue personal goals and participate in household and community activities. No experience is required; paid training is provided. The available schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is up to $18.75 with enhanced pay.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in a home health aide setting or a school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
Provide community support and transportation.
Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
Help individuals develop independence and social and communication skills and achieve their personal goals.
