Direct Support Professional
About The Position
The Direct Support Professional provides quality care, direction, guidance, and assistance to customers with daily activities, including bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, menu planning, dressing, grooming, medication, treatments, and housework. The role also helps customers make and keep appointments, provides or arranges transportation for errands, and offers companionship. The employee supports customers in achieving agreed-upon goals that improve their quality of life and integration into the community. The position requires written daily updates of each shift’s activities through an online platform, observation of the customer’s condition, and monitoring of the surroundings, equipment, and materials to promote safety and success. Other duties may be assigned. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., in Glenwood, Arkansas.

Responsibilities

- Help customers make and keep appointments, provide or arrange transportation for errands, and serve as a companion.
- Help customers achieve agreed-upon goals to improve quality of life and integration into the community.
- Provide written daily updates of each shift’s activities using an online platform.
- Observe the customer’s condition and monitor surroundings, equipment, and materials to ensure safety and success.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understand and endorse ICM’s mission and vision.
- Follow ICM policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures, seeking clarification when needed.
- Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
