About The Position

We are a WordPress support and maintenance company seeking a direct response copywriter for project-based work. The primary goal is to rewrite key pages on our website to improve conversion rates, starting with a landing page for our website rebuild service. This is not an ongoing content gig or blog writing, but rather focused project work on specific service pages designed to drive action from cold traffic.

Requirements

• Proven experience in direct response copywriting, not general content.
• Ability to demonstrate conversion results from past work (e.g., before-and-after rates, tracked revenue, page lift).
• Experience writing for B2B or service businesses.
• Ability to price by the project and explain the value proposition.
• Portfolio submission with 2-3 pieces and a description of their results.
• A sentence or two on the type of direct response work you do best.
• Your typical per-page project fee.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with WordPress support and maintenance companies.
• Experience in rewriting existing website pages to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite a landing page for our Website Rebuild service to convert cold ad traffic into booked calls.
• Rewrite three more service pages: Website Rebuild, Redesign, and our agency partner program.
• Develop pages focused on the reader's problem rather than feature lists.
• Provide project-based pricing with justification for the value of each page.
