About The Position

FSSI is a leading document outsourcing company that has been in business for over 45 years, serving Fortune 500 companies in the financial, banking, insurance, and billing industries across the U.S. We are seeking a full-time Direct Mail Machine Operator to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. This role is responsible for the accurate setup and operation of print finishing equipment and machinery within the department. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime may be scheduled as needed and could require earlier start times, later end times, and weekend work during high-volume production periods.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Effectively read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective written and oral communication in English.
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Basic PC literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the various aspects of the print finishing processes and equipment to improve operational skillsets, competency, and knowledge of the machines and work produced in the Direct Mail (DM) department.
  • Operate or tend machines that perform print finishing operations, such as inserting, folding, cutting, tabbing, UV coating, Inkjet, GMS cold glue folder, IBIS booklet maker, and GEP finishing equipment in a demanding high-speed environment.
  • Accurately set up equipment for optimal production throughput.
  • Consistently perform duties in a safe manner, following company safety rules.
  • Follow all established quality control procedures to consistently produce accurate and quality work.
  • Perform additional work as assigned.
  • Be available to work additional hours (overtime) on an as-needed basis to support business operations, which may include a longer daily schedule or working on weekends. By accepting this position, it is understood that you will be available to work on weekends, unless there is a medically documented restriction in accordance with federal, state, or local law.
