About The Position

Futures Through Choices is hiring a Direct Care Support Staff member to help individuals with disabilities reach their potential and achieve greater independence. The role supports clients in becoming as self-sufficient as their physical and mental abilities allow, while respecting and promoting their right to make choices. Duties include assisting with meal preparation and personal hygiene, including toileting, showering, and changing briefs; supporting clients in making choices such as selecting healthy menus; accompanying clients into the community and to events; and preparing crafts and other appropriate activities. The team also maintains safe and sanitary living areas and surroundings, including basic housekeeping and laundry. This is an entry-level, part-time position paying $16.00 per hour. Available shifts include mornings, swings, afternoons, and graves.

Responsibilities

• Help clients make choices, such as choosing healthy menus, while promoting their right to make choices.
• Take clients into the community and attend events with them.
• Prepare crafts and other appropriate activities for clients.
• Keep living areas, their contents, and surrounding areas safe and sanitary.
• Perform basic housekeeping and laundry.
