About The Position

Futures Through Choices is hiring an entry-level, part-time Direct Care Support Staff member to help individuals with disabilities achieve greater independence and reach their potential. The role involves supporting clients according to their physical and mental abilities while respecting their right to make choices. The starting rate is $16.00 per hour. Available shifts include swings, graves, days, and weekend morning and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

• Help clients become as self-sufficient as their physical and mental abilities allow, including preparing meals and meeting hygiene needs such as toileting, showering, and changing briefs when needed.
• Help clients make choices that support their well-being, such as choosing healthy menus, while promoting their right to make their own choices.
• Take clients into the community and attend events with them.
• Prepare crafts and other appropriate activities for clients.
• Maintain clients’ living areas, contents, and surrounding areas in a safe and sanitary condition, including basic housekeeping and laundry.
