About The Position

Futures Through Choices is hiring an entry-level, part-time Direct Care Support Staff member to help clients with disabilities achieve greater independence and self-sufficiency. The role includes supporting clients with daily living needs and personal choices while promoting their right to make choices for themselves. Staff also take clients into the community, attend events with them, prepare crafts and other suitable activities, and help maintain safe and sanitary living areas. The starting rate is $16.00 per hour. Available shifts include mornings, swings, weekends, and graves.

Responsibilities

• Help clients become as self-sufficient as their physical and mental abilities allow.
• Help clients prepare meals.
• Assist clients with hygiene needs, including toileting, showering, and changing briefs when needed.
• Help clients make choices, such as choosing healthy menus, while promoting their right to make their own choices.
• Take clients into the community and attend events with them.
• Prepare crafts and other appropriate activities for clients.
• Help keep living areas, their contents, and surrounding areas safe and sanitary.
• Perform basic housekeeping and laundry.
