Direct Care Support Staff
About The Position
Futures Through Choices has an open position for a Direct Care Support Staff. This role is for a compassionate, caring, energetic, creative, and fun individual who enjoys helping individuals with disabilities achieve their greatest potential. The Direct Care staff provides services to clients to help them become as self-sufficient as they are physically and mentally able. This includes assisting with meal preparation, hygiene needs (toileting, showering, changing briefs), and promoting the client's right to make choices, such as choosing healthy menus. The role also involves taking clients out into the community, attending events, and preparing crafts and other appropriate activities. The team is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary living area, including basic housekeeping and laundry, to help clients achieve a greater level of independent living.
