About The Position

Direct Support Staff – Hertford Multipurpose Home (Winton, NC) Salary: $31,200+ (Based on education & experience) Schedule: 3-4 day/nights per week (live onsite while on shift) Are you ready to step up, make an impact, and be a role model for youth who need guidance? Methodist Home for Children is looking for strong, dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Staff in our multipurpose home in Winton, NC. If you’re passionate about helping young people turn their lives around, this is your chance to be part of something bigger. Multipurpose homes are structured residential facilities designed to help young men break the cycle of repeat criminal behavior. We work with Level II juvenile offenders, teaching them discipline, accountability, and life skills to help them succeed. MHC staff live and work in the home, providing round-the-clock guidance and mentorship to keep these teens on the right path.

Requirements

Must be 21 years old or older.
High school diploma required
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to live onsite while on shift (3 days/nights in a row), including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

experience working with youth (ages 11-17) preferred.

Maintain a safe and positive living environment.
Work closely with youth, families, and community partners to create long-term success plans.
Support daily activities, from schoolwork to life skills training.
