About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring a full-time Direct Care Supervisor to oversee a residential group home in Delmont, Pennsylvania. Lifesteps is a nonprofit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania and providing programs and services for people with special needs.

The supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of a Residential Community Living home. The role includes directly supervising community home staff, coordinating schedules and training, conducting performance reviews, overseeing care for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, assisting with caregiving as needed, and maintaining documentation such as fire drills, client progress notes, and medication administration records. The position aims to help each person improve their quality of life and live as independently as possible in their home and community.

This is a 40-hour-per-week position, primarily on the daylight shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with one 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift per week. On-call duties are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in a human service, direct care, caregiver, TSS, Home Health Aide, C.N.A., DSP, or related position.
• Current driver's license.
• Obtain Medication Administration Certification within six months of hire.
• Obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months of hire.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or equivalent credits (60) and two years of experience in a human service or caregiving field.
• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in a human service, social service, or related field.
• A degree related to Education, Special Education, Counseling, Therapy, Psychology, Sociology, Social Services, Transition Programming, Nursing, Health Administration, or a similar field; any major qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a Residential Community Living home.

• Assist with caregiving duties as needed.
